Bio

M80 was formed in the mid 90's in Atlanta GA.  Drummer Greg Wilson, guitarist/keyboardist Bill Shadle and guitarist Mike Lamb played in the Atlanta based power trio Borneo in the late 80's.   Bassist Mark Maloney played in the seminal college circuit band The Surf in Athens, GA.  After Bill played with the venerable Atlanta based alt-country band Wild West Picture Show for several years, M80 came together to start making music based on their long standing friendships and common experiences.  The band quickly started writing new material and playing gigs around the Atlanta area.  Over the next few years the band wrote and recorded three original albums - M80, Look Forward, and In the Service of the Queen.   In the mid 2000's, the band connected with Brad Rosenkampff who became guest vocalist extraordinaire and the band's own "Ruben Kincaid".   M80 and Brad started playing prominent shows at venues such as the Hard Rock Atlanta and started a tradition of sold out annual benefit performances.

Looking to the Future

In 2021 M80 decided to get back in the stu In 2021 M80 decided to get back in the studio again, this time with David Prescott at Prescott Studios in Alpharetta, GA.  The band wanted to revisit some of their prior recordings in a modern sonic light, and along the way recorded a brand new song, Revenation which is the title of their upcoming EP.    The 6 song EP captures M80 at it's best - the power and punch of their live shows, and the pop/rock sensibilities of their original material.
Give it a listen and hear for yourself!!!
